NOTE: This is only suggesting that resources can be edited, not posts - hopefully this means it doesn't present ethical dilemmas about editing content that people can comment on / upvote / give impact stamps to.

From Iain: "It would be good if the resource tiles could be fully editable, e.g. changing the file, link, etc. If we make any changes to the resource PDFs I’m going to have to create a new post which will then feature on the activity channel until enough people ask for feedback that it’s hidden again at the moment."

This is not trivial. We have a few ways a post can be - with image, with image and link, with file and image.

If a post has a file and image and someone wants to add a link do we remove the file? If they have an image and they add a link do we keep that image? If they have an image and link and change the link should the image be removed/kept?

Need to define some logic for this.

Thanks - makes sense. This was prompted by the fact that Iain has uploaded content to groups that contain links. These are the links that will eventually have different URLs (once the hosting learning interaction work is complete). Atm, he will need to delete those posts and re-upload them so we were talking about the benefits of being able to edit links retrospectively but it sounds like there are lots of implications that need considering before making a change that addresses such a specific use case.
